About Valley City
Valley City is a city in Barnes County, North Dakota. In North Dakota zoning and building permits are run by the city or the township the land sits in, so here that is the city. Not every township has adopted zoning, and where none exists the county is the place to ask. The County Director of Tax Equalization sets property values, the County Treasurer sends the tax bill, and the County Recorder keeps the deeds.
